Long time no talk! Needless to say, I've been enjoying my time in Europe. I left Austria on Monday and travelled to Stuttgart, Germany. This was a short stopover on my way to Prague. While I was there I visited the world's largest pumpkin festival at Blühendes Barock, in Ludwigsburg, Germany. It was held at Germany's largest baroque castle which was also very beautiful. With over 400,000 pumpkins this was by far the biggest pumpkin festival I've been to. While I was in Stuttgart I managed to get an appointment with a tattoo artist that I had found on Instagram. Connor specializes in hand-poked tattoos. This style of tattooing takes a longer time and is done without the use of any machines, usually just a single needle and ink. I chose a gingko biloba leaf from his flash sheets. I chose the gingko leaf for the reason that they are attributed with being a resilient and strong leaf, something that I have proven to myself over my travels. You can check out my tatt here.
Shortly after arriving in Stuttgart I was off to Prague, Czech Republic. Tonight's my last night here and I'm going to have to make it an early one because I fly out to London, England at 6 am! I've lucked out the past few days because we've had lovely weather in Prague, no rain or chilly winds like in Berlin. From Wednesday onward I walked the streets, had some amazing Czech goulash, visited a couple galleries and museums, saw the John Lennon wall, and overall really enjoyed myself. This city is very unique and I'd recommend it to anyone who is travelling Europe. Visiting it in October has its pros and cons. Pros a lot of the normally crazy busy tourist spots are less crowded, cons would be that a lot of things are under construction because it's coming off of their high season.
Mentally I've been doing better. My anxiety has been more focused on if I'm going to find a job out here or just come home, which is something I will have to decide by end of next week I'm thinking. I know there's a plan for everybody, and I'm hoping that I can manage to stay in Europe longer but if it's not meant to be then I will accept it and be grateful for everything that's I've experienced over my trip. I've got some exciting things planned for London like seeing Dreamgirls and Wicked on broadway, tickets to a Bleachers concert, and more! I've been trying to upload photos onto these posts but wifi is generally slow here, will upload more when I can.
Neue Bop: Beast of Burden by The Rolling Stones
Classic Rolling Stones song. This song came on while I was on the bus driving through the mountains and it felt good. Blast this one and enjoy your weekend people! Stay safe and happy. Sending all of my love from this side of the world.
