Es gilt viele mauern abzu bauen
Es gilt viele mauern abzu bauen | There are many walls to be dismantled
Yesterday was a busy day, we made our way around sightseeing the city of Berlin. Seeing the art on the remaining section of the Berlin Wall was a testimate to what this city and country has gone through. We did a lot of walking and around and I got more of a feel for it. So far I'm enjoying Berlin and feel like it has a lot to offer, yet to be uncovered.
Mentally yesterday and today I'm feeling a lot better. Although I'm still nervous about money, I've got a cold, and my travel buddy is leaving tomorrow I'm trying to stay positive of. Yesterday a friend sent me an email which reminded me to be more conscious of what I'm grateful for in my life. It really brought into perspective how easily I dismiss and discredit some of the most wonderful gifts. I'm working on giving more attention to my small joys instead of being consumed by the negative thoughts.
Today I'm grateful to be in a quiet gallery looking at the beautiful artwork, I'm grateful to be standing inches away from a Botticelli painting of Venus, someone who I've studied since high school. I'm grateful to be in a new country with my best friend sharing these experiences, I'm grateful for my Mom for buying me these Birkenstock insoles that are saving my feet this trip. Anyone who is reading I wanted to say thanks for sticking with me so far, I know my writing can be a bit heavy at times but I appreciate the company.
